Mark 2:13-22

Recognizing Truth

Jesus is Savior of the sinners. He came for them. To call them. Those who recognize that they are sinners are the ones who realize that they need a Savior. They hear His call, They hear Him say, “follow me.” And they get up and obey. Forgiveness is so sweet when you knew you desperately need it. And you will be forever grateful.

The Pharisees can‘t understand why Jesus would dine with sinners. Their self righteous attitude prevents them to realize that they too need to be in Jesus’ table. They too need a Savior, for they too are sinners. They also can’t understand that in Jesus’ fellowship is real abundance. We can’t hunger and thirst. There is no room for fasting, only celebration in the presence of God with us.

Thank you my God for loving me despite my sins. Now you look at me no longer a sinner but a saint, the righteousness of God all because of what t Jesus has done at the cross. Now with confidence I come before your table to dine with you and celebrate the abundance of God with us where I hunger and thirst no more until eternity
